Need a simple Irregular Cross Section River Hydraulics Calculator

I am not needing a full model, I just need to check some spot cross sections for a drainage study and I, at one time, found a really cool simple calculator program that was very well done, graphics were cool and it allowed river style sections, ie with multiple offset and elevation sets to define a cross section.

Unfortunately I lost the link and can not find it again after much looking. To my shock there seem to be almost no simple irregular cross section calculators out there.

Any help is appreciated. I am trying to not get fed up and write my own, as that seems silly.

does irregular sections and a lot more and is fairly simple

If you're just looking for normal Manning's flow, you can do that with HydroCAD, including the free Sampler. Although HydroCAD is commonly used for a complete runoff and routing study, you can create a project file with a single reach in just a few minutes.

Inside the reach select "Custom cross section" and enter the elevation/offset values to define your channel. You can use a separate Manning's value for each segment, or a single value for the entire section.

When you're done you can get complete stage-discharge and stage-storage data for the channel.

In HECRAS you can use the hydraulic calculator to evaluate an individual xsec. One can write a spreadsheet to do the same thing. FHWA's Hydraulic toolbox has a cross section routine in it that will compute normal depth, velocity and etc...
