Hi,

Can anyone please recommend a good place in the Brooklyn area where I could take a course in AutoCAD. I'll be using AutoCAD at work and need to be fully proficient. I've got over 5 years of experience with Autodesk inventor and have used AutoCAD for P&ID in the past, but not very much. I assume I would want an intermediate course, but I'm not sure, and would love some advice on that as well. I also want to learn all the shortcuts/keystrokes and make sure I have all the basics down.

I'd like to thank you all in advance for your help. If you could, in your response please let me know if you've taken these courses yourself, and how satisfied you were with the class curriculum, instructor, location, etc.

Thanks very much!

For curiosity sake which ACAD version are you planning to use? I don't know anything about Autodesk inventor, however when I used ACAD 2010 back then, Mechanical Desktop had nearly the pull down menu, functions, etc... You may, already be, 3/4 of the way on your learning curve.

I had to transfer from SolidEdge to AutoCAD for my current job - picked up one of the simple go-through it books ('AutoCAD 2014 - No Experience Required' to be exact) and sat down with it for a week at 4 hrs/ day, it was all the training I needed.

Not hard to learn new CAD once you have one or two under your belt - and going from Inventor to CAD will be a snooze I think. Good Luck!
