Need an alkaline resistant adhesive

Hello, I'm looking for an adhesive capable to bond polypropylene and resistant to pH 13. I'm thinking of use a Hot Melt Adhesives by 3M but I'm not sure if it would resist the pH 13 solution. What should I use instead?

Epoxy adhesives are the usual choice for high pH environments. I am not sure if a hot melt product will be suitable. You can contact 3M to get technical support for their specific products.

You might also consider welding the polypropylene.

I thought about welding it but it's not viable because I don't have the necessary equipment. I'm going to try with a polypropylene adhesive,it should work, right? I think so because PP es resistant to that PH.

I tried epoxy before but I need the adhesive to be flexible after cured so I can also sew the pieces and with epoxy the needle won't go through.

Oh, ok - you are talking about PP fabric or felt, not solid? Hot melt or ultrasonic welding would both be appropriate. You may want to preheat the fabric before applying the hot melt, e.g. ironing it, to make the adhesive bond better to the fabric. The iron-on adhesive sheets work ok in this application too, but I don't know if they make those in PP base.
