Anyone know if I can buy one with the above specs.
I am designing something that has to run on batteries that should last more than 2 years ideally a lot more.
The electro Magnet in energized for 5 seconds, 40 times per day.
a AA Lithium Ion battery has 1600mAh of stored energy. I would need 2 for 3 volts
I found this Someone told me that it's a latching solenoid and as a result I need to energize it of 50-100ms, it will latch for(how I don't know) then at 4seconds and 900 mS I energize it for 50-100ms again and it will drop what it had picked up. He did say I have to reverse the voltage which I have no idea how to do. If this latching solenoid works the way it was explained to me, my two AA batteries will last more 10 years.
I appreciate any help, advice, circuit diagrams, companies who may be willing to make a prototype, etc. that you can offer. The last time I did this kind of EE was a long time ago.
