Need help in designing a ring-type load cell !!!

I know help designing a ring-type Load cell sensor/transducer system, with a certain parameter for the ring and with commercially use transducer. The system has to be capable of measuring a load from 0-1000N with an output of zero to 10 volts or +/- 10 volts.

Would that be a "hollow load cell"?:

Any reason you can't buy a standard one?

As Ed said, more info is needed. Any off-axis loading? Off-Axis cross talk limitations? Compression (or tension) loading only? Stiffness requirements?
