Hello all!

I am struggling to create a checklist for vetting equipment to comply with NACE MR0175 and MR0103 for use in sour environments.

Based on these codes, there are a few things that would validate equipment. Hardness tests, material traceability reports, weld certifications, forging process and any post treatments, HAZ information..etc..

However within the codes there isnt really a clear definition of requirements such as, the material traceability report must comply with ASTM xxxx or comply with this code.

Maybe something like this exists, or maybe it would be too vague to make.

If anyone can lead me in the right direction that would be great!

After reading your comment in this thread, are you saying material that qualifies the guidelines of NACE standards, for example, are below the correct hardness, contain less than a 1% mass nickel fraction, are not free machined and are post treated correctly cannot obtain a NACE cert because of the gap between material and final product?

If you are looking for an inspection document standard to specify, start with EN 10204, 3.1. Then review EN 10168 and indicate which parameters are to be recorded in the inspection documents to enable the end user to make the judgement on acceptability for service.
