Hi everyone!

I am new to ABAQUS and I'm trying to mesh an amphorae model made in catia V5. I tried meshing using tet and hex and I cant seem to get rid of the magenta regions. I've tried splitting the model into smaller sections using "Shell extrude" but still no luck.

I suspect the fillets to be the main problem here but I have no idea how to continue. I've uploaded some files for you to have a clearer picture.

Please help me!

Thank you!!

Why all the partitions and edges? I've imported the geometry and it looks pretty clean. Then I've switched to meshing, defined tet-meshing, added automatic virtual topology, a mesh size of 20 and created a mesh. No problem. See attached image.

Hex-meshing could be hard because of the two handles. But if you partition them into separate cells, then you might get the axisymmetric region hex-meshable. The handles could be meshed with tets and A/CAE would automatically add tie-constraint to connect the regions.
