need Help on winding of transform

i'm currently working on transfomer .... i need help on the formula and calculationS

any one with references ?

What type transformer are you designing?
Kilowatt 60 hertz, watt 60 hertz, RF, IF, variable, inverter, oil insulated,dry type, high voltage, high current, current transformer, potential transformer....
Each of these transformers require different design techniques.

The following books/literature are quite old and may not be availiable, but do have good information.
For switching type transformers the book Switching Power Supply Design by Abraham I. Pressman.
For large 60 hertz transformers Transformer Engineering by Blume or Transformers for the electric Power Industry by Richard L. Bean
For small 60 hertz transformers The article Technique of Transformer Design by Irving Richardson January 1961 issue of Electro-Technology, distributed by the Arnold Engineering Company or the book Electronic Transformers and Circuits by Reuben Lee

it's a 3W input with 12v
using astable n monostable inputt

What is pulse width?
For narrow pulse width use ferrite core.
For wider pulse width (say 1 millisecond)use silicon steel core.
For DC it's impossible.

The pulse width at which ferrite cores and silicon steel cores should be used depends on the requirements and the availiability of the core.
