I just recieved a WPS / PQR for welding a 3'' SCH 160 and now my customer has changed their order to 4'' SCH 160. The question I have is do I rev up my last WPS / PQR or do i just disregard the 3'' WPS and just use the 4'' WPS

The WPS must be revised to include the 4 inch diameter pipe and the wall thickness involved. However, the PQR must support the increase in wall thickness and deposited weld thickness assuming nothing else has changed.

One must also consider the applicable construction code and whether the thickness involved required post weld heat treatment or whether notch toughness requirements must be met.

To sum up the situation in a few words; ASME Section IX is not the only code section that must be considered.

Not sure what you mean by "you have received" a WPS/PQR ?
Not sure what you mean by "disregard the 3" WPS and just use the 4" WPS" ?
A bit more explanation may help,
