Need help with electrical connectors

I am having a problem correctly creating electrical connectors. All the ones that came with SW automatically start a rount once you drag it into your assembly, subsequently making the connector part of the cable assembly (which is what I want). However, the new parts that I have created with all required connection points and electrical properties do not automatically start a route. Instead, you have to right click a connection point, and then say start route. The only problem is that the assembly does not include the connector now, just the cable.

I must be missing something that tells SW to auto start route for these parts.

Please help.

I think I have figured out part of the problem. It seems that if you add more than one connection point (I have a 15-pin molex) on one connector, then the autostart will not work. I am trying to make accurate cable assemblies and have all the correct pins going to the correct place not one connection point. Is this possible? Does anyone know a good explanation for SW definition of a harness and a cable?

Also.. when I now drag these connectors into my assembly they are fixed for some reason.

Thanks
