Need Manufacturing assistance in NX6 1

I am exploring manufacturing in NX 6 and need some help if available. I am told, after verifying a toolpath and attempting to simulate the machine/part process, that I need a k-component. I can't find clear information on what exactly a k-component is and how to assign one. Can anyone lend a hand?

Sounds to me like you are choose some sort of "simulation" option.

Simulations require machine kinematics to be defined. This may be your problem.

Search the help file for "integrated simulation and visualization" or ISV.
