Hi all,

I am working on an extraction setup for a polypropylene reactor. I am not able to duplicate the reactor conditions for my test setup and I was wondering if there was something that I could use that would mimic how the polypropylene will behave when flowing through a piping system.

Basically I need to flow some amount of sample through a series of tees, elbows, and a reducer. I am looking for the sample to collect at the reducer to see how well it will trap the sample. From there I need to determine whether or not the carrier gas will be able to flow through the collected sample or if the line will dead-head and stop flow altogether.

I am looking for something that is somewhat readily available and has similar characteristics of the polypropylene coming out of the reactor at 80 deg. C and 20 bar.

Any help is very appreciated.
Thank you,

Jason
