Hi All,
Currently I'm seeking recommendation for Safe Bearing Capacity on wash sample of soft disintegrated rock (we got rebound at 0.5m during SPT). The strata till 9m is wash sample and we cannot do any laboratory test on it.
Please suggest for Safe Bearing Capacity values at 1.5m, 3m, 4.5m and 6m.
Attached Borehole log

Regards,

your logging is very poor, "rock pieces" or "disintegrated rock" is not a proper description. As a minimum you are missing rock type (pretty important dont you think), colour, grain size. just because its disintegrated doesn't mean that its a soft rock. It could be a hard rock that has undergone extreme shearing that has disintegrated it. You can get disintegrated granite for example. Have you tried to hitting it with a geological hammer or crushing between fingers.

Re bearing capacity treat it as a gravel and go from there.

You want Safe Bearing Capacity values at 1.5m, 3m, 4.5m and 6m? Do you also want us to write the report as well?
