Need Some Advices to design the mechanism of a self assembly furniture bolt

Hi All

To design a bolt , I just have it's dimensions and the moving limits, how do I design and modify the mechanism ? is this possible in CATIA or ADAMS ? cause in mechanism design , usually forces are the input or the output of the analysis, how can I do this without force?
