Hi,
I am using Wildfire 2.0 at work, however I have some personal projects that will necessitate my purchasing a copy for home.

I found the following...

Wildfire 2.0 Personal Edition

and...

Can anyone tell me what these versions are all about and what their limitations are?

Thanks,
-Glenn

The Personal Edition is for training purposes only and cannot be used in a for-profit business. It also prints a watermark across any plots saying that the plot was created from the student edition. There is no Personel Edition, only a Student Edition for Personel Use, which is $100 more than the Personel Edition for Educational Use.

Your website link is most likely pointing to some foreign company selling illegal copies of the software and if you are lucky a license file that works. The version being offerred, 2004320, is a very early buil of Wildfire 2 and early builds are very unstable.

The personal edition is the same as a student edition, and won't work with your files.

The second link is really sketchy and is probably illegal. No one will sell a legitimate license of Pro/E for $50. They're probably selling a cracked version or a keygen. Either way, you can face fines or criminal charges if you are caught using that pirated software. I hate to sound like such a wet blanket but like many others here, using Pro/E is my bread and butter, and if people start pirating it, there might not be a Pro/E anymore.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter if you are using it at home. If you plan to make a profit with Pro/E, prepare to pay what everyone else does. Otherwise, look at a cheaper program like Alibre.
