Hello Place, the NEMA TEXP motor are Totally Enclosed Explosion Proof (TEXP)These are totally enclosed fan cooled motors with precisely controlled fits and inspection to meet CSA. and UL requirements for hazardous locations. Motors up to 1000 HP have CSA & UL approval for operation in Class I, Group D and Class II, Group E, F & G. THIS MOTORS ARE DESIGNED AND APPROVED FOR APPLICATION IN HAZARDOUS ENVIROMENTS HAVING CERTAIN EXPLOSIVE GASES OR MATERIALS PRESENT.

IEC Ex-proof motors are classified like:
EE Xe II"Increased safety" location Types 1 and 2.
EE de II c "Increased safety of terminal box location 1 and 2. and Dust explosion PROTECTION (LOCATION 21 AND 22).

The first to do is to determine the motor´s enviroment work then clasiffied in acordance with NEMA Class I and Group With this you can find the equivalent IEC Ex-Proof motor.
