We just got a new version of Neplan 5.3.5. And I got as an assigment to enter the whole city network in it. I have this networks 1-ph sheme already in AutoCad and i was wondering does anybody know is there a way to import this sheme to Neplan? And how? I tryied the most obvious (import .dxf file, insert map etc.) and nothing works. Actually function insert map doesn't do anything, i always get the same answer: can not load graphic! so if anyone could hepl me and make my assigment easier, cause drawing the whole network manualy would take really long. thank you!!

Neplan is a power analysis software, which requires input data from the system components to calculate netwrok analyses. Your AutoCAD drawing doesn't have this data.

thank you for the answer. although,i do know this, i was going to input the required data myself, i was just wondering is there a faser way to draw the network sheme since it already exsists in a format that Neplan should suport (.dxf). but thank you anyways

Neplan can import dxf drawings as background images and not as a first step of grid modeling.
You can use this image to build over it your grid model. In this way you can obtain that your components have the same positions as in your drawing.
DXFs are only graphical objects.
That's all.

Ok, thank you. Although my .dxf file is imported quite different then the one i can see in AutoCad. I apologize if my questions seem stupid, i'm just finishing college and this is my first encounter with this software. So any help is very wellcome.
