Is there correlation between Nernst equation and Pourbaix Diagram. Which one is better to determine corrosion rate /corrosion mechanism which probably occur in material?

Corrosion is an interesting field, with nearly endless pits of quicksand to sink into.
Just remember, thermodynamics will tell you if a reaction is possible, but without know the rates you have no idea if it will actually happen.
