NET mode on Mitsubishi VFD FR500 not working

I'm having trouble with putting a VFD into NET mode (Mitsubishi VFD FR500).

I am working on my Final Year Project due at the end of the month - Speed Control of a motor generator set. I am using a physical rig and I have written the code for the system.

I want to set the VFD to NET mode so that I can RUN the code from the TIA programme.

I have set Pr. 79 = 6 but feedback doesn't imply the device is in NET mode, and the keypad also still works ( i.e still being able to run the motor from the keypad manually when it shouldn't be possible in NET mode). So these are the indicators that its still not in NET mode even when set to Pr. 79 = 6.

I have tried so many other parameter settings to try get it working - Pr. 340 = 1, Factory reset by setting Pr. 77 = 2 followed by restarting VFD. None working
I have also tried setting some other parameters Pr. 178 = 1 → PLC controls start/stop signals which doesn't allow me to land on the number/just skips over and tried to solve Pr. 160 = 1 to get advanced parameters to allow land on number. Nothing
And based on a past project, setting Pr. 79 = 2 and Pr. 340 = 1 doesn't solve it.
There's a few roadblocks with skipping over parameters and error messages when setting parameters that could be a clue to the problem.

Any suggestions to solving this would really be appreciated and I'll try solve asap and be in touch.

Thanks
Robert.
