Hi.

Is there any way to automate the creation of the Netsurface on Freestyle Shaper workbench?

I'm searching on the caa automation encyclopedia for some reference code, but i can't find anything ... even in google
(For Netsurface did not find something... i have code to multisection surface... known as Loft)

Do i need to use multisection surface ( HybridShapeFactory.AddNewLoft) instead Netsurface command?

What is the difference between Netsurface on FSS and Multisection surface on GSD??

I made the surfaces by each method, it looks like the same surface.
(See attached image)

CATIA V5R20

any comment is appreciated
Thanks in advance

well FSS API are not available unless you pay for them... contact DS.

If you have FSS you could have used Distance Analysis to compare your surfaces... it s a more appropriate tool for that kind of analysis.

Difference between FSS/FSP net and GSD mss...

curves ends don't have to meet in NET, you can impose surface mesh on NET
you can define a spine in MSS (even if sections are not planar!)

I recently had to build curvature continuous surface and I looked at many option (GSD, FSS, FSP, ICEM...) I finally got the result I wanted with GSD MSS. In order to get best result, you need to try both direction (sections in u, guides on v // sections in v, guides on u) try with and without spine, and understand surface/curve analysis tools (porcupine analysis, surface curvature analysis, reflection lines...)

And remember, the beauty of a surface is in its curves. Work your curves, the surface is easy.
