Hello,
Can someone help me out. I'm struggling with Neuber's rule. I've attached an image which might help explain my problem.
I've carried out an elastic analysis and found the result that is labelled point 1 in the attached image. I now need to use Neuber's hyperbola to get to point 2 where the black line the hyperbola meets the green line the stress/strain curve for my material. The trouble is I can't work out the equation of this line. If stress * strain = constant all along this line then wouldn't it be a straight line not a hyperbola from point 1 to point 2? I'm probably missing something completely obvious here but would welcome someone with greater knowledge pointing me in the right direction.
Thanks
