Hi there!!

In a project of MEVC desalination plant, the water produced has a 6.5 - 7 PH.
To avoid corrosion in steel tubes, is a good idea put a NaOH injection system?

It depends on intended use for the product water. For instance, water used for drinking will require remineralization to re-establish hardness and alkalinity levels and to oxygenate the water.

If the water is for process use and low TDS is a requirement, adding caustic may not be suitable either. If you can mainitain the dissolved oxygen at less than 0.3 mg/L you may not have to do anything special.

I know there are a lots of "ifs" in my response but you will have to tell me more about your intended use of the water.
