Anyone interested in electric cars will want to visit *******’s stand at Engine Expo in Stuttgart to check out the company’s new high-voltage drive, capable of powering a six-passenger MPV. During trials at the Institute ******, the drive system achieved 90% efficiency, three times as high as internal combustion engines. The fully loaded vehicle consumed on average 1kW/h, or less than €2/100km.
Is this spam really aimed at engineering professionals?
High voltage must be good, eh? Better than old-fashioned low voltage.
90% efficiency is up there with any good transmission, I suppose. Wonder what the prime mover is.
1 kW/h sounds like a strange boast. Quite hard to disprove though.
€2/100km sounds like a tax rate.
