new standard for 'roh' 1

Hello,
I have an old drawing with surface finish, 'open modifier' material removal and 'Roh' in place of waviness.
Apparently it meant that surface needed 'no new finish in this stage of machining' and is to be left as is.
So for the new drawing, should I add any other surface finish like material removal prohibited or just leave surface alone with no surface finish Symbol?

Would be to much to ask, which standard your company works to, and how your symbology actually looks like?

Other than that, if you want 'no new finish in this stage of machining' material removal prohibited symbol will be appropriate.

I stand corrected.

"roh" refers to "Surfaces that remain untreated", which is different from "Surfaces not to be machined"

I don't think ISO has symbol for that, so use verbal description in whatever language.
