It sounds like the problem you are experiencing is to do with plotting scale (assuming your system and printer are properly configured).
If this is the case try the following:
1. Go to the plot menu. Make sure 'QUICK' and 'CREATE' are selected.
2. Make sure that SCALE = 1 (This is probably where you have been going wrong.)
Note: With the folllowing method it doesn't matter what the Length and Width are set to)
3. Using the mouse, select the area to be plotted. This is done by selecting a point top left and dragging a window to the bottom right of the area to be plotted. Once this has been done a 1 with a cross below it should appear on your screen in the centre of the selected area.
4. In the bottom LH corner of the screen is a small green box with BR in it. Click on this button to do a buffer regeneration. (Make sure that none of the drawing is behind this small box otherwise you may find it difficult to select it.)
Once the buffer regeneration has been done make sure that the selected area still contains the items you want to plot. Sometimes it will jump to a completely different area of the screen. If this happens you will have to start from 1 again.
5. From the Plot menu select 'PLOTTING'
6. Select your roll plotter.
7. Click on the CONFIGURATION tab. Make sure that the VIEWPORT DEFINITION is set to SCALE FACTOR and that the SCALE FACTOR VALUE = 1. Then click YES to end.
8. Click on the EXECUTE tab. Select the correct SHEET ROTATION (on our system we use No_Modification to print A0 on the roll plotter but yours may be different)and select the COLOUR MODE.
9. Click on Yes to start the plot.

The plot command has many different settings and this just one possible solution to your problem. Good Luck.
