New to creo parametric

Hello,

I have tried Creole 3.0 and I have some doubts.

First i'm used to nx and catia.

My first doubt is about multi body. I haven't found any option to create multi bodies. Then I have imported a part drawn in catia, and that part wich contains multi bodies, in Creo appears with a single body completed merged. That is not desired...

Another thing is the way to create multiple holes in same face. In catia, is created the first hole, and then we create a sketch with points with the new locations of the holes. How we behave with Creo?

The word you are looking for is not 'doubts' but 'questions.' For some reason the word 'doubt' comes up as a suggestion, but 'doubt' means 'uncertainty' or 'fear.' Having a question means asking for information. That said, English is weird.

Creo isn't Catia, so there isn't a direct replacement.

Creo parts are single solids. Creo allows divided solids; extruding 2 circles as the first feature will produce 2 cylinders. Separated features in a solid may not intersect each other, but are still one piece.

To make separate parts, the parts need to be separate models and assembled. This is inconvenient, but is the same as actual parts work so it's realistic.

If you are importing a Catia assembly, you should be able to import it into an assembly where it will have separate parts. I know it works with STEP format files.


To create multiple holes in Creo like Catia, create the points as a pattern and then create a hole that refers to the first hole in the pattern, then pattern the holes and use 'Ref Pattern.' The holes will follow the points.

Thanks for your answer. Definitely English language have some weird things... It's easier for me to write in portuguese

Regarding Creo, from what i have saw from my experiments looks good. But i need some time to get used to it.
