new user login--DT Messaging error

I'm trying to add a new catia user and when they log on they get an DT Messaging System could not be started error. I've followed all of the directions as far as failsafe, check dns, check hosts, passwd, etc and still have no luck. If i leave the error up, the desktop will eventually come up with the catia environments but can not get past the error. Other users are not having this problems. Just this new user.
Any suggestions.

Try deleting the .catia_environment file in the users $HOME directory. This sometimes causes these sorts of problems.
Then get the user to log back in and select an environment.

Alternatively copy the .catia_environment file from another user's home directory into this user's one.

If this still does not work - maybe try deleting and adding the user again. Also check if he is setup as other users etc.
