Hi all,

this morning I had this warning message :
***WARNING: Duplicate initial conditions were specified on 3562 element(s).
The elements have been identified in element set
WarnElemDuplicateInitCond.
***WARNING: 3416 elements have incorrect property definitions. The elements
have been identified in element set WarnElemIncorrectProperty.

Could anyone explain me what does this mean really because I haven't find explanation in the help...

My problem is 2 parts (3D mesh) with contact analysis.

Thx,

caviac

For the first warning:

-you could have contradictory displacements on same elements
-you could have applied (displacement) boundary conditions on some regions of the slave contact surface (Do you use *INITIAL CONDITIONS, TYPE=CONTACT ???).

You can open the resulting .odb file (if any) and use display group to see the elements in the WarnElemDuplicateInitCond set.

Also you could check .msg and .dat files for more details.

For the second warning,
you probably defined properties which are not needed for the element type(s) you used.

ok thank you very much.
I will see that problem more precisely, I'll let tou know.

Thx again,

caviac
