Morning gents,

I am trying to wire up I/O's from two different machines to each other. I have the pin-outs for each machine but am unsure what the functions/operations mean. The first machine (AE-1000) uses an 8 pin connector and the second machine (CS 4000 mini) uses a 19 pin connector. I've been instructed to connect the 8 pin to the 19 pin for our nutrunner. Is this possible with the 11 pin difference between the two connectors? I have wire colors for each machine to match the pin # but will this be as easy as matching up the functions between the two connectors? Any help/clarification is appreciated.

You might get lucky and find someone who recognizes those machine models and can comment from experience. But if not, you're still in the dark.

>"unsure what the functions/operations mean"
fact-of-life: the fundamental assumption in connecting one device to another is that there is an understanding of which function is being connected where.

If some industry has interconnection color coding for that many wires, great, but it would surprise me. I'd be reluctant to engage in color matching wires.

If one or both of the two device's vendors claims inter-connectivity, ask them for the details.

Otherwise, it's time to dig out the manuals, do some study to see what each device does and how one might interact with the other.

Or hire someone for the project.
