NY has come out with a new updated code based on the ICC and, I'm sure, with provisions for high rise issues in the wake of 9-11.
I just finished serving on a small committee in my own city in reviewing the 2006 IBC. We didn't do much to it other than tweak a few sections to better correlate with our local design and construction practices. I'm curious to know how many cities out there actually just adopt the IBC as is verses re-writing the code to fit their local preferences.
