I am fairly new to solidworks. I do have a question about the software. What is the best way to automate a part? Would solidworks be able to create a part from a design table or would a macro be the best way to automate a part?

I guess the short answer is yes.

The long answer as to how to do and what is the best way to do (i.e configs, design table, DriveWorks,...) depends greatly on the specific part and what needs to be automated.
