Hi guys,
I'm having hard time understanding which of the fire protection standards would apply to utilities, specifically pumping stations/power houses. Specifically, supplying electric fire pump. It appears to me that utilities do not necessarily have to follow the NEC, but the design should be such that we consider all the possible fault/outage/maintenance scenarios in the distribution system and choose an option that would provide the most reliable feed to the pump.
Do you concur?
Thanks,
EE
