NFPA 5000 1

So I noticed, despite being largely ignored in favor of the IBC, the NFPA 5000 code has continued to be revised and updated every three years:

Does anyone know of any jurisdictions that actually use the NFPA 5000? A quick search on Reed Construction reveals one city in Texas that apparently does,

but no where else.

Bureau of Indian Affairs uses NFPA 5000.

Interesting, I wonder what drove them to that decision. Pasedena, TX adopted it back when both the ICC and the NFPA were each pushing hard (so probably just continues to use it based on inertia) but the BIA didn't adopt till 2005 - well after everyone else (including California) had already chosen the IBC.

Hrm, digging deeper, this gets more interesting. It looks like the BIA is separate from the indian tribes themselves, who have adopted the IBC. It also seems like there's some dispute between the two as to who has authority - a bill granting the tribes authority to adopt their own codes was introduced in 2010; it passed the house, but not the senate:
