I'm doing some research and in one of the papers I'm reading, there is a reference to information authored by "Babrauskas" which states:
"Babrauska published atmospheric transmittance charts for a range of blackbody source temperatures and ambient conditions..."

The reference states that this information is in the 16th edition of the NFPA Fire Protection Handbook. I have both the 19th and 20th edition in PDF format. A word search of "Babrauskas", "Atmospheric Transmittance", "Blackbody" or several others, doesn't find these charts, or any discussion of the subject.

I'm wondering if anyone out there has the 16th edition that might be willing to look up this information and somehow provided me with maybe an excerpt of the information.

This is actually the paper I'm talking about. Mine is a slightly cleaner copy as I actually got it from the "Fire Safety Journal, Volume 37".

If you have a look on the 3rd page (page 183), second paragraph below formula 5, reference 15, is what I'm referring to. It's the information in the paragraph that I'm looking for. Reference 15 is the 16th edition that I don't have.

Who is "Scott"?

Thanks for the web site. I didn't realize he lived in Washington State (my home state).
