NI-MH 1.2 Volt Battery ,how to know it's Full Charge?

i'd like to know how is NI-MH 1.2 Volt Battery AA is Full Charge , and how is empty?

no ,my Battery is Ni-MH Varta 1.2 Volt Size AA ,where can i find the datasheets?
but my question ,is there any indicator that let me know is the battery is full.
or i have to buy something to check the battery and tell me it's full
and is there any indicator that let me know is it empty ? can i use mulitmeter?
please advice
