Hi,

I have NiCd batteries bank and Lead battery bank of 110V, 130AH capacity installed in various trains. I need to procure a battery charger capable of charging both types of batteries. Please guide me to consider the charging current/ voltage for the battery types and the difference in charger for the NiCd abd Lead acid batteries?

Thank you. in anticipation.

First off you had best specify whether the lead acid batteries are vented or VRLA, as they have different charging restraints.

I'd assume the ni-cads are vented, but I've been wrong before, so you'd best specify that as well.

Yes the lead acid batteries are VLRA type, also the Ni-Cads are vented. The ni- cand battery is of SAFT SBM84-2 KPM84P type and Lead acid is of solar block SB12/130A

Thanks

Have you passed this by the battery manufacturers yet? They could probably provide some valuable suggestions.
