Our film crew's drone filmed the roof of the parking garage that partly collapsed on Sunday . All ramps of the six-storey garage collapsed on Sunday evening. The garage is located at the St. Antonius Hospital in Nieuwegein. There were no casualties , but there was a lot of material damage. It is also known that there is no further risk of collapse.

Seeing the rust stains where the uppermost ramp was attached makes me think of the Algo Centre Mall. The corrosion here isn't nearly as bad as that case, but it's still indicative of a failure in the waterproofing and right at a likely point which could have triggered a progressive collapse.

It also looks like a very clean break on 3 of the 4 sides of the hole. That makes me question just how much attachment there was at the rusted end.

Looking at it doesn't look like there was substantial attachment to the sides. Aside from what looks like water stain, the columns don't have rust streaks. Is it possible that fatigue failed the bolts/studs holding the cross members in place until one finally gave up?

Brush away the concrete fragments and the part that is dangling and it would look like it was awaiting installation of the ramps.

Also - they have a drone. The drone can fly down into the opening. It would be nice if the drone operator did that and the news agency published a close up of the side of the wall.
