I am looking for information on "Nilcon Prestressed Concrete". I am working on an existing Clinic that utilizes "16" Nilcon Prestressed Concrete" floor and roof panels. The details indicate the panels are 4' wide, 16" deep, and consist of panels with a large, single void in the center of the panel, similar to hollow core precast, but with only a single core. I have yet to find any load tables or literature on this material and was wondering if anyone has worked with it in the past.

I have no knowledge nor experience with the product/technology, and there is little info on the internet, except some patent info (originally from Sweden and Finland by NILSSON):

It appears to be an extruded U-shaped, trough-section:

Google said:
The Nilcon concrete element consists of a channel-type modular structural section formed by extrusion of concrete containing a wire mesh. The channel contains rock wool insulation and can have sufficient depth to house heating and cooling ducts. A concrete cover section completes the structural section. The units can be used in floor and roof construction, provide acoustic isolation and thermal insulation, and can be used for heat storage, especially with solar heating systems. It is claimed that optimum usage of Nilcon insulation and heat storage capabilities with proper window treatments and heat recovery techniques can reduce building energy requirements for heating and cooling to less than half of that of conventionally constructed buildings

You may have to consider some exploratory scanning/invasive probing to determine longitudinal wire size and spacing etc. if you cannot obtain some original documents.

The system inventor and patent holder, Dr. Sven Nilsson, licensed the system in many EU countries and in the USA it was licensed to NILCON MINNESOTA INC., in St.Paul, back in the mid 1970's.

Sorry, no technical structural data.
