Nitinol Beam Bending Noise/Mass Scaling

Hello,

I am trying to model a pre-curved Nitinol needle being retracted and deployed through a steel cannula. I am having issues with noise in my reaction force readings, yet when I reduce the mass scaling the system behaves very erratically, folding in half and crumpling.

Any suggestions?
