Dear All:
In my site I have a nitrogen generator made by Generon mod. HP 4202. I was trying to calculate the production price of this nitrogen machine, but I couldn't find any information even contacting the supplier. The only information that I have is that the compressed air temperature and that the purity of nitrogen demanded influence the output of the machine, but nobody could tell me how many m3 of compressed air at 10 bar do I need in order to have 1 m3 of nitrogen at 2% O2.
Does anybody have any indicative figures regarding this?
Thanks a lot.

Is it a PSA system or membrane system? Typical output rates for PSA system are 45% for 97% purity, 40% for 98% purity and 32% for 99% purity. For membrane systems, these are a bit low and can be around 38%, 27% and 20% respectively.

My experience is that for a system with 99% purity, with 7barg inlet air pressure and 5barg nitrogen pressure the yield was around 20% including regereration of CMS beds and Alumina beds and that will be a safe bet.

Regards,
