hey guys,

I am pressure purging a couple of reactors that hold solvents like toluene and ethanol. I have read through the CEP 2001, feb issue article by George Kinsley. however the formulae for Pressure purge is incorrect. Does anyone have a better reference?

Also should I consider the Sweep purge formulae mentioned in the article?

Regards

Good morning,

I don't know the referenced article, but I suggest you to take a look of NFPA 69, § E.2

Good luck!
