Two questions:

Does anyone know why in MAPTIS, Nitronic 60 annealed is rated "B" while Nitronic 60 in cold worked state up to 50% is rated "A"? Both meet the MFSC STD 3029 requirement of 30 days at >=75% YS, salt test exposure without failure, so both should be given an "A" rating, right?

Does anyone specifically make Nitronic 60 in the 20 or 50% cold worked state? Is it going to be hard to come by?

Second question first, what product form and size are you looking for?

First question, I would rate both the same (though I have a hard time calling any austenitic SS an A).

Nitronic 60 is available from more places than HP Alloys.

Ed,

Product form bar, size approximately half inch.

Too bad it isn't tube.

We can definitely help with 1/2" round bar. According to NASA research, the 20-50% CW is OK for salt spray. Not sure where the data for the annealed is coming from.
