Hi everyone,

I ran the analysis and when the job was completed, I tried to look for the results, but the following error occured:

There is no valid step data available on the database. If the analysis is running, the database must be closed and reopened once the results have been initialized. The requested operation has been cancelled.

I thought I had defined everything correctly and can't solve the problem. Could anyone help me ?

Recommended for you

1) Try running the job again after restarting the program (if you haven't done it yet).
2) Check the files generated during the job execution (MSG, STA, DAT) for warnings and errors.
3) Make sure that all necessary settings are defined. Especially check if the analysis has the following features assigned:
- step
- history and field output
4) Verify incrementation in the step and in the output requests to make sure that it is set in such way that results will be calculated and written to the output database at least once during the analysis.
5) Prepare another simulation from scratch and try running it.

Thanks FEA way. I managed to solve it. I guess it was probably problem with history and field output

Yes, that seems to be the most probable reason. Because for example the lack of step should make it impossible to run the job as the error would probably appear in the data check. When there are no output requests then the problem is solved but nothing is written to output database and thus you can't view the results.
