node print output data U & PU

hi all,

I'm wondering what the output values of node print represent. I run both a frequency analysis and a SSD, which provide me the following results:

while, when I solely run the frequency analysis, i get the following:

Now I can't really find the interpretation of these results. I assume that the first two columns of the first row in the top image represent the U1 and U2 displacement for the frequency, then the second row of the first two columns is the U1 and U2 of the SSD analysis? and then the last two columns are the magnitude and phase? or how must I see this?

Then, what's the physical difference of the PU and U values? I found that PU is the magnitude, so a scalar without directions, and the U is the displacement, so the scalar with the direction. But how does these values represent that? I'm rather puzzled by it..

PU is not only magnitude but also phase angle of a given component of displacement.

In case of data files the first line is magnitude while second line is phase angle. You can also switch between these types of display in Visualization module using Result —> Options —> Complex Form. You can find more details in the documentation chapter "Understanding complex results".
 
Nice, thanks, I read the documentation chapter. Now, I'm curious as when you say that th first line is the magnitude and the second line is the phase, why is it showing a second line for U1 and U2 as well? as they have nothing to do with magnitude and phase right?
