Does anyone know of an AutoLisp routine to highlight any non-associative dimensions on an AutoCAD drawing?
I seem to remember one, but I can't find it anymore.

Thanks

If you mean DIMASSOC=0, that may prove difficult considering that they are simple lines and text.

Hello...

I am developing a routine lisp to re-associate the dimensions in a drawing of AutoCAD.

You writes an email to eliasuno@hotmail.com and I send the routine lisp to you...

Un saludo de SpeedCAD... :)

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but in the Express Tools there is "dimreassoc". It restores dims that are overriden.

"Command: dimreassoc
Select dimension objects with non-associative text."

The problem is that although we have standing instructions that ALL dimensions are to be associative, some draughtsmen seem to be incapable of working to the instruction.

A while back I found a couple of routines,
DIM2ASOC.LSP to re-associate dimensions which we still have,
and one that highlighted the non-associative dimension, which we now can't find and can't remember the name of!

Hence this post.

Hi...

The commands before described only recover the values of texts, to their original value.

The routine that I am developing re-associates dimensions which have been created with DIMASSOC (DIMASO) in 0. Or in its defect, those that have been exploded...

If you wish the routine, let me know.

Quite a while back I wrote a lisp routine (based to a large part on an older Autocad chtext.lsp routine) to deal with this issue. It turns the "<>" (associative portion) of a dimension entity to a different color (red). Thus if the dimension is associative, the associative part stands out (the opposite of what you mention but still accomplishes the same thing).

Send an email to me - dana.jacobsen@con-vey.com and I will forward a copy to you.
