Hi,

Are the Non destructive testing requirements for bridge cranes governed entirely by AS/NZS 5131 - STRUCTURAL STEELWORK
FABRICATION AND ERECTION?

This involves calculation of the Construction category of the structure as per Table 13.6 of AS/NZS 5131, and referring to S.13.6.1.2 for the inspectiona and test plans depending on the construction category.

AS1418 also refers you to AS/NZS1554 standards for welding and hence (presumably) NDT requirements that apply within these standards.

Keeping in mind AS/NZS5131 was never around when the crane standards were written. But I assume you'll require the welding and hence inspection requirements to AS/NZS1554.5 for fatigue requirements as well?
