how can i get deep information about non nwtonian fluid flow?I have to design a piping system, but i haven`t found any information about how!!!

what should i do to analize those kind of system?

thanks

The first step is understanding the fluid rheology. Then, pick a non-Newtonian model that fits your rheology. Then, obtain the pressure drop equations using the integrated form of the model from the literature.

Good luck,

Its possible to do by hand, but a major pain if you have a long piping system. In that case, you defintely want to get a computer program, such as Stoner Pipeline Simulator, that can track different viscosities of the fluid as it moves along the pipeline.

juliomendez,

You are embarking on some work that may NOT be a mainstream engineering item. It depends on how non-Newtonian your fluid is and whether the apparent viscosity versus shear rate is time dependent or not. Study up on the subject and

Good luck,
