We are a UL 508A listed control panel shop. We frequently run into instruments that we need to use in our control panels that are not UL listed.
Previously we were told that as long as the non UL listed instrument power feed is fed from a UL listed power supply for it's power we can put a UL label on the finished panel. Now we are told that the Non UL instrument has to be fed from a NEC Class 2 power supply (24VDC / 4 amps). We have an instrument that requires a 6 amp feed. If you can only use Class 2 power supplies which have a max rating of 4 amps and the instrument requires 6amps of power is there another way around this so I can put a UL 508A label on the finished control panel?
Thank you, Mark
