Non-uniform scale in views

Can I show a view with an exaggerated scale in one direction?

I want to show the layers in a thin part w/ a section, problem is I have to show planar dimension 100's of time greater than the thickness dimensions.

As a hack I was just thinking of making a config with exaggerated extrude depths in the model.
