Hi, I was wondering if anyone here would have any idea why only some lines are showing up when I draw a sketch?

They are all actually there, as you can manipulate them and the cursor turns into a line when you roll over them, but about half of all lines will stay invisible. As you can imagine, this is pretty annoying if you're trying to draw anything more complicated than a rectangle or so.

Sounds like a video problem to me. Are you using a Radeon video card? It seems Radeons especially have issues in SWX and the sketcher.

To test if it is video, do this:
Close all open SWX documents
Goto Tool, Options, System Options, Performance
Check 'Use Software OpenGL' (this is a sort of lower performance fail-safe)

If the issue goes away after this, the problem is your video card and/or video drivers. If you are using a 'consumer' level 3D card such as a GeForce, or Radeon, I recommend getting a Quadro or FireGL. These are 'proffessional' level cards optomized for 3D cad applications.

Sounds like a Graphics card. What card do you have?

One thing you can do is add the redraw Icon to your Toolbars and use that to refresh the screen. - It looks like a Paint bucket spilling paint out of it.

One thing I have noticed with almost the identical problem in active sketches is to turn off the gradient background. Don't know for sure if thats what your looking for but I throw it out there anyway.

It is happening on a couple of the computers in a classroomful of supposedly identical ones, but I'll check out the video cards when I go in tomorrow .
Thanks for the prompt advice!
